"Isn’t there a single technology that can be used everywhere?"
Unfortunately not. Depending on the individual national regulatory conditions and feedstocks, we have to develop the best possible solution. With our decades of experience in international markets, in-depth know-how, and a healthy dose of innovation we are in a great position to achieve our goals. This mix enables us to develop the right solution for every application on an industrial scale.
"Does that mean you have a number of blueprints ready-to-go and then pull out the appropriate one when required?"
If only it were that easy! A precise market and location analysis is crucial. It is just as important as the choice of the right local partners, because we always develop our projects in cooperation with specialist companies on site. This is not always easy and most of the time the projects are very complex. In the end, however, it is precisely this combination that has brought us forward as a company and allowed us to set new standards. So, to answer the question directly, we have technological standards that we build on so that we don't have to reinvent the wheel every time.
"So, you have the necessary technological know-how in-house?"
Yes, we try to bundle our know-how in-house.
In areas like project development and engineering, best practices, and state-of-the-art technologies, we take a broad market overview of different manufacturers, processes and regulations at the European level. It can be seen how they all flow together and are implemented in our own standards.
"Does this only apply to technical standards?"
That depends on how you define the technical standard. Let's take the example of environmental protection. Here, we always apply the highest VORN Bioenergy Standard. The German TA-Luft or the emission law in Emilia Romagna set very high requirements that are not required in other countries and regions, but we still try to adhere to these high criteria, for example in Spain.
Or let's take the issue of safety. We make no compromises in this area and rely on the exacting approaches in plant construction that we have found in planning and construction in Great Britain.
