Unabated Growth: VORN Bioenergy Acquired Five Biogas Plants in Italy

Regensburg / Verona. With the acquisition of five biogas plants and an associated composting facility from Enerfarm, an Equitix portfolio company, in the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto, VORN Bioenergy is continuing to pursue its growth strategy in key European markets. Following the recent acquisition of the biogas plant in Wolnzach, Bavaria, this marks VORN Bioenergy’s next major investment.

The five biogas plants and the composting facility are currently at different stages of construction and together have a total capacity of more than 200 GWh. This is equivalent to the thermal energy requirements of approximately 14,000 households.

Partners involved in the project include Legance (legal advisor), EY Parthenon (tax and accounting advisor), AFRY (technical advisor) and Longspur Capital (financial advisor).
